Congratulations to Decatur High School scholars Joseph and Kingston for their participation in the South King Fire Washington Fire Explorer program!

This rigorous program builds leadership, discipline, and life-saving skills while providing hands-on experience in firefighting and emergency services.

Congratulations to Federal Way High School scholar Victoria for being selected for the 2024-25 KEXP 90.TEEN DJ internship program!

Victoria's selection for this incredible opportunity is a testament to her passion for music and dedication to personal growth.  The KEXP 90.TEEN DJ program empowers high school students to explore careers in music and media, providing hands-on training in live DJing, music curation, and audio production. 

Participants also gain valuable mentorship from KEXP staff while sharing music with a global audience of listeners.

Congratulations to Todd Beamer High School scholar Andrew for being awarded the prestigious AFJROTC Flight Academy Scholarship! 

Andrew is one of just 194 AFJROTC cadets nationwide selected for this incredible opportunity out of more than 1,200 applicants. This summer, he will attend a university flight program, earning college credit and his private pilot's license—fully funded by the United States Air Force.

We are FWPS Proud of Andrew for his exceptional achievement and for embodying Goal 5 of our strategic plan: persistently pursuing his passions and developing skills for future success.

Congratulations to the Sequoyah Middle School Jazz Band for being selected to perform at the National Association for Music Education All-Northwest Conference.

This achievement recognizes the talent, dedication, and hard work of our scholars and their director. Performing at this event is a significant honor, bringing together the top student musicians from six states. 

Congratulations to Mia, Josiah, and Adam, three talented Lakota Middle School scholars, for being selected to perform in the Washington Music Educators Association Junior All-State Honor Band!

This remarkable achievement highlights your dedication, hard work, and passion for music. Being chosen for this prestigious honor band is no small feat and showcases your exceptional talent among student musicians across Washington.

Congratulations to the 102 FWPS scholars from Federal Way High School and Decatur High School for advancing to the WIAA Football State Tournament!
